Phoenix police detectives have arrested a Paradise Valley doctor and his wife, Matthew Karlovsky and Lisa Karlovsky, along with Bryan Long, after a three-month investigation into a felony criminal damage case.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on January 28, 2024, at about 5:00 p.m., three suspects committed felony criminal damage as they scratched several images and derogatory comments into the side of a number of vehicles parked near 55th Place and Cannon Drive. Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

Detectives continued to investigate and on April 25, 2024, probable cause was established to arrest Long and the Karlovskys. The three were arrested for scratching derogatory comments into the cars of pro-Palestine protestors parked in January near an Arizona synagogue. Their actions cost more than $45,000 in damages.

Both Matthew Karlovsky and Bryan Long have been charged with seven counts of criminal damage each. Lisa Karlovsky is charged with 2 counts of criminal damage despite the fact that witnesses say she appeared to be the instigator.
