On February 3, 2022, around 09:05 p.m., Phoenix Police responded to a shooting call in the area of 43rd Avenue and Virginia Avenue. When officers arrived, they located the victim, Krystal Guevara, who had suffered a gunshot wound. Officers provided aide to Ms. Guevara until paramedics arrived.
Ms. Guevara was transported to a local hospital in critical condition where she was later pronounced deceased.
This investigation is ongoing, and the suspect remains outstanding at this time.
