Flagstaff Man Arrested For Collision That Killed Phoenix Woman

Joshua Ferrante of Flagstaff has been arrested in connection with a collision that took the life of Monica Heckel of Phoenix.

According to the Flagstaff Police Department, on February 4, at approximately 10:00 p.m., a crash occurred on Butler Avenue near Fourth Street in Flagstaff. The collision involved 2 vehicles. One vehicle, driven by Ferrante, appears to have crossed the center line and caused the driver of a second vehicle to take evasive measures. A passenger in the second vehicle was 25-year-old Monica Heckel.

The other three occupants of second vehicle were injured and are currently in stable condition.

The 37-year-old Ferrante was charged with the death of Monica. Impairment is believed to be a factor.
