Phoenix Police are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred yesterday at Cave Creek Road and Utopia Road in North Phoenix. Police were called to the scene around 11:30 after a report of a collision involving a motorcycle.
Detectives learned a male operating a Peterbuilt truck turned left onto Utopia Road and collided with a motorcycle that was traveling north on Cave Creek Road. The force of that collision caused the motorcycle to continue across the roadway into oncoming traffic, striking an additional vehicle. The operator of the motorcycle, 46-year-old Alexander Ventseslavov died at the scene.
Neither impairment nor speed are believed to be factors in this collision.
