Phoenix police are investigating the death of Ciara Chacon that occurred in the area of 2700 West Thomas Road.
Officers were called to the area and learned that a female pedestrian, later identified as Chacon, was walking near the train tracks and became distracted by an altercation occurring nearby. She stepped back onto the tracks and was struck by a train.
She succumbed to her injuries on scene.
