33-Year-Old Phoenix Man Dead After An Early Morning Confrontation

Phoenix Police responded to a shooting call near 27th Avenue and Glenrosa Avenue at around 05:20 a.m. When officers responded to the scene, they learned 33-year-old Britten Singleton was struck by gunfire.

Britten was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded to the area where they spoke to witnesses and processed the crime scene.

During the course of the investigation, detectives learned Singleton was in a verbal argument with an unknown suspect at an apartment complex near Indian School Road and Black Canyon Highway. During the argument the suspect shot at Singleton. Singleton was able to flee the area and police were called to Singleton’s location at 27th Avenue and Glenrosa Avenue.

Police say there are no suspects in custody at this time. They are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Phoenix Police Department or contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS/480-TESTIGO (Spanish) if you wish to remain anonymous.
