Phoenix 2-Year-Old In Stroller Struck By A Vehicle Running A Red Light

Phoenix Police responded to a traffic collision at 19th Avenue and Glendale Avenue just after 8:20 p.m. When the officers arrived, they learned a 2-year-old male was being pushed in a stroller by a family member in the crosswalk, when a vehicle ran a red light and struck the child. After the collision, the vehicle fled the scene.

The Phoenix Fire Department responded and transported the child to a local hospital where he is in stable condition.

The vehicle was described as possibly a 2004-2010 Nissan Altima or Maxima, charcoal gray in color.

Police are asking the community with information to contact the Phoenix Police Department or contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS/480-TESTIGO (Spanish) if you wish to remain anonymous.
