The Phoenix Police Department is investigating a collision that took the life of Franco Vargas, in the area of 22nd Place and Southern Avenue.
Officers were called to the area about a serious collision, and learned that a motorcycle, operated by Franco Vargas, was traveling westbound on Southern Avenue. The motorcycle struck a pickup truck that had made a turn to travel northbound on 22nd Place from Southern Avenue. Mr. Franco was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
All parties remained on scene, and impairment is not suspected in this incident.
