According to AAA, as of Monday, the average price at the pump in Phoenix is $4.12; Tucson is $4.06; and Flagstaff is $4.24.

The statewide average price for a gallon of gas climbed to $4.13. That is the highest average ever in Arizona. The average price for diesel fuel jumped to $4.56 – the all-time high of $4.85 was also set in July 2008.

A year ago, in Arizona gas cost $3.01 on average.

According to a new Joint Economic Committee report, Arizonans are paying over $500 more a month in household costs because of inflation due to the Biden administration’s policies.

Republicans see the public’s pain as an opportunity to take on Sen. Mark Kelly, and Congressmen Tom O’Halleran and Greg Stanton, which they say have “thwarted America’s energy dominance. RNC Spokesperson Ben Petersen said the Arizona democrats “would rather buy oil from America’s enemies than unleash American energy. They are responsible for Arizonans’ pain at the pump.”
