Firefighters from Glendale and Phoenix Fire Department responded to a fire in a strip mall near 67th Ave and Camelback Rd. Thursday evening around 6:00 p.m. 9-1-1 callers reported hearing a loud bang and seeing black smoke.
Heavy fire and smoke conditions were fueled by wind but crews controlled the fire and contained it to 6 of the occupancies.
One person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries while two others were treated on scene but declined further treatment or transport to the hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
