18-Year-Old Woman Killed In Shoot Out At Phoenix Park

An 18-year-old female is dead after a shootout at a Phoenix park.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, around 2 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call near 19th Avenue and Roeser Road and another related call near 35th Avenue and Lincoln Street. When officers responded to 35th Avenue and Lincoln Street, they located 18-year-old Riann Curry inside a vehicle.

Witnesses inside the vehicle stated Riann had suffered multiple gunshot wounds after a shooting took place at a park. The witnesses stated they attempted to take Riann to the hospital but decided to stop and call for help. The Phoenix Fire Department responded and transported Riann to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

When officers arrived at 19th Avenue and Roeser Road they located a scene and they secured the area.

There are no suspects in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
