2 Grand Canyon University Students Killed In I-40 Crash

The Grand Canyon University community is in mourning after two students died in a crash over the weekend.

According to the University, 21-year-old Chelsea Nicole Valladares and 22-year-old Kelli Ingle died after a crash on Interstate 40 in eastern Arizona near the New Mexico border.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. on April 2, a sedan the students were travelling in was heading eastbound when it drifted and struck a guardrail. The sedan was then struck by a tractor-trailer, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
