
On Thursday, Pima County Sheriff’s detectives with the Border Interdiction Unit (BIU) seized fentanyl with a street value of $1.4 million.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, detectives conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Park Avenue and Interstate 10. The driver was identified as 47-year-old Imelda Carter.
During the stop, approximately 371,000 fentanyl pills, commonly known as “M-30s” were discovered.
Carter was turned over to federal authorities and was eventually booked on multiple felonies.
