Chandler Police Arrest Dog Sitter After Abuse Is Caught On Video

On the afternoon of Monday, April 18, Chandler Police Department received a report regarding animal cruelty.

The reporting party told officers that they had seen a video on a video sharing application posted by the owner of the dog. The video showed a dog sitter who kicked and punched the dog.

The officer took the reporting party’s information and used police databases to identify the dog owner. The dog owner said they were willing to aid in the prosecution. The dog owner was also able to provide information as to the identity of the alleged abuser.

The alleged abuser was identified as John Wyman, age 36. Wyman cooperated with police and was charged with one count of animal cruelty.
