Man Killed After Driving Through Luke Air Force Base Security Checkpoint

The Glendale Police Department is leading an investigation after an unidentified man died at Luke Air Force Base after driving through a security checkpoint.

The man, who was not a member of the military, attempted to enter the base through the South Gate security checkpoint at around 3:40 p.m., on Friday, April 22.

Members from the 56th Security Forces Squadron deployed an automated vehicle barrier which stopped the vehicle. Responding medical personnel pronounce the individual deceased on the scene.
