Two Sahuarita residents were arrested this week after they were caught smuggling humans by members of the Operation Safe Streets task force.
According to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday May 4, 2022 approximately 7:45 p.m., task force members conducted a traffic stop on a Chevy avalanche near mile post 347 Highway 92.
Officers discover that the driver, 52-year-old Rikeena Crumpley, and passenger, 40-year-old Alexander Mariscal, were transporting two undocumented immigrants.
The undocumented migrants were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol for processing.
