Money Dispute Turns Deadly For A 23-Year-Old Phoenix Man

On Sunday, a confrontation between two men erupted into a shooting in an Ahwatukee neighborhood.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were called to the area of 44th Street and Windsong Drive about a person shot Saturday night at around 10 p.m. When they got there, they found 23-year-old Thomas Marble suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Witnesses told officers they heard multiple gunshots and when they looked outside, they saw a man on the ground bleeding. As officers were investigating, they detained another adult male who was involved in the shooting.

Officers learned Marble was confronting another male regarding a money dispute. During the confrontation, Marble was shot and collapsed close to where the shooting occurred.

Marble was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

The investigation remains active. No arrests have been made at this time.
