Early Morning Phoenix Commuter Discovers Dead Man

A Phoenix commuter stumbled across a deceased man with an apparent stab wound as the violent scene was uncovered by daylight.

Police were called to the area of 14th Street and Jefferson Street about a man found dead on Monday at around 5:45 a.m. When they got there, they found a deceased man, later identified as 28-year-old Davante Wright, with visible signs of trauma.

Phoenix Police Department detectives scoured the area for witnesses and possible surveillance. Detectives were able to determine Wright was last seen alive around 8:30 p.m. the night before.
