Suspected Human Smuggler Killed After Vehicle Struck By Multiple Bullets In Phoenix

On Wednesday, Phoenix Police officers responded just before 4 a.m. to a report of a man deceased inside of a vehicle in a drainage ditch.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found 18-year-old Jayden Carnow-Garcia, dead from gunshot wounds, inside of a vehicle that had been struck by bullets.

According to FOX10, court records show that Carnow-Garcia “was recently arrested by Federal agents, and was accused of committing criminal offenses related to human smuggling. He had entered into a plea deal, and was awaiting his sentencing hearing when he was killed.”

At this time, no suspects are in custody and detectives are investigating what led up to this incident.
