Yuma Police Investigate Shooting Between Passengers of Two Vehicles

On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at approximately 2:11 a.m., the Yuma Police Department responded to the 1400 block of South 4th Avenue, in regards to reports of shots fired.
The investigation revealed that two vehicles were traveling northbound in the 1500 block of South 4th Avenue when multiple shots were fired from both of the vehicles at each other. One vehicle proceeded to Yuma Regional Medical Center, as all subjects in the vehicle were struck by gunfire. The other vehicle fled the scene.
Three adult males, two ages 37 and one age 20, and one adult female, age 30, were injured at the scene. Two victims remained at Yuma Regional Medical Center for their injuries. The other two were further flown to a Phoenix area hospital in serious condition.
The Yuma Police Department is asking anyone with any information about this case to please call the Department at (928) 783-4421 or 78-Crime at (928) 782-7463 to remain anonymous. Remember, if your information leads to an arrest, you may receive up to a $1,000 cash reward.
