Phoenix Police Identify Victims And Suspect In Murder Suicide

Phoenix Police have identified the victims in an overnight incident that left three people dead. The victims are 38 year-old Eric Sands and 29 year-old Danica Aiken. The suspect has been identified as 24 year-old Taffari Celestine.

Officers were called to the area of 20th Avenue and Hadley Street late last night shortly before midnight for a shooting. When they got there, they found Eric Sands in front of an apartment who had been shot to death. A witness also told officer that they saw Taffari Celestine force Danica Aiken inside an apartment and then they heard shots.

Once the Special Assignment Unit was able to get into the apartment, they found Danica Aiken shot to death and Taffari Celestine dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The investigation indicates that Celestine is the ex-boyfriend of Danica Aiken and Eric Sands was her current boyfriend.
