Phoenix Police Investigating Death Of Man Found In The Street

Phoenix police detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead.

Officer were called to the area of 16th Street and Roosevelt Street around 10:15 Sunday evening for a report of a man lying on the roadway.

When they got there, they found 22-year-old Alvaro Gonzalez-Garcia, with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Witnesses told officers the man was found in the street next to his bicycle.

Homicide detectives responded to further investigate the incident. The suspect(s) remain on the loose.
