Phoenix Police Investigating Shooting Death Of 16-Year-Old

Phoenix police are investigating an early morning shooting that has left 16-year-old Kevin Enriquez dead.

On Saturday, around 4:30 a.m., Phoenix police responded to the intersection of 26th Avenue and Luke Avenue after receiving a report of shots fired and a vehicle that had possibly been hit. Officers on scene found a vehicle with damage from gunshots, and a victim deceased in the driver’s seat. That victim was later identified as Kevin Enriquez.

Investigation at the scene found that after the shooting, believed to be in the area of 5500 North 26th Avenue, the victim’s vehicle struck a parked car and came to rest where it was discovered by officers.

Detectives are actively investigating this incident as a homicide and ask anyone with information to contact the Phoenix Police Department, or Silent Witness if they wish to remain anonymous.
