Pima County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death of 29-year-old Troy Allred.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, on July 23rd, 2022, at approximately 8:15 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic dispute near the 1500 block of North Branding Place.

While speaking with the victim, deputies learned Mr. Allred left the house in his Jeep prior to their arrival. Utilizing a phone application, deputies learned of his possible location.

Deputies responded to the area of Davidson Road and Costello Ranch Place and were waived down by a homeowner. The homeowner directed deputies to a roll-over collision that occurred in the desert area near his house. Deputies located the Jeep and Mr. Allred, who had been ejected from the vehicle. Mr. Allred was transported to a local area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Upon arrival to the hospital his condition worsened and he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives learned that Mr. Allred was driving at a high rate of speed northbound on Davidson Road. He drove through several concrete filled pillars into a desert field rolling the Jeep several times. Speed and impairment both appear to be factors in the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
