Maricopa County Man Sentenced To Prison For Drug Trafficking

A Maricopa County man, Luis Torres Jaramillo, has been sentenced to 9.25 years in prison for his involvement in a drug trafficking organization.

Jaramillo pleaded guilty to one count of Transportation of a Narcotic Drug (Heroin) for sale, a Class 2 Felony.

According to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, on July 22, 2021 police arrested Jaramillo after observing him conduct a drug transaction in a parking lot. Jaramillo was arrested with 3.54 kilograms of heroin. Law enforcement conducted a search of Jaramillo’s home and located an additional 121 grams of heroin, along with 60 fentanyl pills.
