Yuma man Arrested For Attempted Homicide

On Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at approximately 5:37 PM, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) responded to the 13000 Block of E. 51st Lane about a shooting.

Deputies were advised that Justin Paice, 44, of Yuma, was in the area shooting at vehicles. It was later discovered vehicles and a residence were struck by gunfire.

Additional deputies and Border Patrol agents arrived on scene and secured the area. YCSO Special Response Team arrived to assist with the armed Paice and deployed a less than lethal weapon system. Paice was safely taken into custody and booked without incident.

Paice was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center on two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and four counts of Attempted Homicide.
