Phoenix police are investigating after two people were shot Friday night near 9th and Southern avenues.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, just before 5:00 p.m. an adult female and a juvenile male were shot during a verbal altercation in a apartment complex. The Adult female was taken to a local hospital with non-life0thretening injuries. The juvenile male was also transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.
As responding officers arrived on the scene, they contacted the two victims along with several witnesses and were able to identify an adult male suspect involved in the shooting.
That man has been detained by police.
The identities of those shot and the alleged shooter have not been released.
