A 27-year-old man, Edgar Moreno-Perez, has died in Phoenix after being shot while at a local apartment complex near 40th Street and McDowell Road just after 1 a.m.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the area of 40th Street and McDowell Road where an unidentified suspect shot the victim and left the area on foot. Officers arrived and contacted Mr. Moreno-Perez and a witness to the incident. Mr. Moreno-Perez was later transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
