Phoenix Police Investigating House Party That Ends In Double Homicide

Phoenix police are investigating a shooting that has left two people dead and a third injured.

On Sunday, August 28th, around 1:35 in the morning. Phoenix police received a call about a loud house party with possible gunshots being fired in the area of 27th Street and South Mountain. When officers were arrived in the area, they saw dozens of vehicles, some blocking the street.

As officer attempting to contact the homeowner, they heard several shots being fired from the backyard area.

Dozens of partygoers took off running as officers made their way to the backyard. They located three people with gunshot wounds. Two died at the scene, a third was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
