Victim In Phoenix Group Home Shooting Dies

On Sunday morning, September 4, the victim in a shooting at a Phoenix group home, 18-year-old T’revonsay Sales, died as a result of his injuries.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, during the early morning of September 1, 2022 at about 1:48 a.m. officers responded to a call of an individual shot. Officers arrived to the area of 19th Avenue and Mountain View Road and began to speak with multiple individuals at a local group home. Officers provided medical aid to Sales, a resident of the group home who had been shot. Phoenix Fire department arrived on scene and transported him to a local hospital.

Officers contacted several witnesses in the area and were able to locate a possible suspect nearby. The 17-year-old juvenile male was later arrested and booked into Maricopa County Juvenile court. The suspect in this case is also a resident of the group home where the shooting took place.
