On September 17th around 11:40 p.m., Phoenix police were called to the area of 4100 East McDowell Road about a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Officers arrived on scene and located the pedestrian, later identified as Edward Garza, with injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle.
Mr. Garza died from his injuries on scene. The vehicle involved in the collision left before police got to the scene and remains outstanding.
