Phoenix Police Investigating Deadly Collision On Bell Road

On October 2nd, around 2:30 a.m., Phoenix police received a call about a serious collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the area of 4200 West Bell Road.

When officers arrived on the scene they learned that a sedan involved in the collision had fled the scene. A witness followed the vehicle and officers located it a short distance away being driven by Even Alamos Santivanez, who was taken into custody.

The pedestrian involved in the collision, later identified as Daniel Callanta, was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
