Woman Shot And Killed In South Phoenix Home

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a shooting at a home that left 34-year-old Edna Aragon-Baca dead.

Phoenix Police officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a home near 16th Street and Broadway Road. When they arrived the found Ms. Aragon-Baca, on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. The officers provided aid until the fire department arrived and transported Edna to the hospital. She later died from her injuries.

Homicide detectives responded to investigate the shooting. After speaking to witnesses and examining the crime scene, they learned there was a gathering at the residence when the shooting occurred. Edna was the only person struck by gunfire and the suspect left the area before police arrived.
