1 Dead, 7 Injured In Phoenix Family House Party Shooting

Patrick Fowler, age 37, has been identified as the deceased victim of a shooting at a family gathering in the area of 63rd Avenue and Miami Street.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, at about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022, Phoenix officers responded to a shooting call with several individuals injured and being taken to local hospitals by family and friends. As officers got there, people were leaving the neighborhood from what was believed to be a house party. Early reports indicated that during the party, an unknown suspect arrived at the residence and began causing trouble. While in the front yard of the house, the suspect began to shoot into a large group people gathered resulting in several injuries. The suspect then left the area in a vehicle before officers arrived.

During the initial investigation police learned 4 victims were taken to a local hospital and 4 other victims were still on scene. One of the victims was identified as the man who died from his wounds at the hospital.

One of the other victims was identified as a teenaged male who suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Out of the other 6 victims all were adults who suffered non-life-threatening injuries except one who was listed in critical condition. All victims received medical care from local hospitals.
