Phoenix Police arrested 25-year-old Fahim Matar for the shooting of an adult male that took place on the light rail train near 1st Avenue and Van Buren Street.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on the morning of Saturday, October 22, 2022, officers responded to a shooting call in downtown Phoenix. When officer got there, they found a man who had been shot while on a light rail train. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Marar was later booked into Maricopa County Jail.
