Phoenix Police Arrest Juveniles For Deadly Crash In July

On October 27, 2022 detectives arrested two people who were identified as racing prior to the fatal collision that occurred in the early morning of July 22, 2022 at 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road that left four dead.

Detectives have been working vigorously to identify the driver of the stolen vehicle who collided into another vehicle, killing the driver and two passengers, who were identified as Terry Hill, Sara Loustaunau, and British Pena, in the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road back in July 2022. The stolen vehicle was occupied by six teenagers. All six occupants were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. One of the passengers, identified as 19-year-old Galexy Saunders later died at the hospital.

During the investigation it was determined the stolen vehicle was racing a dark colored sedan going north on 43rd Avenue prior to the collision. The stolen vehicle occupied by six, crashed into an uninvolved vehicle making a left turn at the intersection. The vehicle caught fire and three people died. The dark colored sedan continued north and did not remain on scene. Through investigative techniques detectives were able to determine which of the six teenagers in the stolen vehicle was driving at the time of the collision. Detectives were also able to determine the driver of the dark colored sedan.

On October 27, 2022 after the investigation was completed, officers located and arrested the driver of the dark colored sedan and the person identified as driving the stolen vehicle at the time of the collision. The driver of the dark colored sedan was identified as a teenage female. The driver of the stolen vehicle was identified as a teenage male. Both drivers were booked into the Juvenile Correction Center on multiple felony charges.
