Dominick Herrera, who was accused of shooting numerous people at a family gathering, has died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Herrera shot eight people, killing 37-year-old Patrick Fowler at the party near 63rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road in early October.
Detectives continued their investigation into the shooting and on November 14, 2022, saw Herrera inside a residence in the area of 10000 West 2nd Street in the City of Avondale. Officers with the Special Assignment Unit served a search warrant on the residence and located Herrera deceased.
