Jewish Lawmaker Launches Twitter Attack On Muslim Attorney General Candidate

A Jewish Arizona lawmaker, Democrat State Representative Alma Hernandez, who has demanded civility from others, showed a complete lack of it this week when she attacked a Muslim candidate for Attorney General.

Hernandez attacked Republican candidate Abe Hamadeh on Twitter after he announced that his campaign and the Republican National Committee filed for an injunction against Maricopa County officials for their mishandling of the 2022 General Election. Hamadeh filed for an injunction on Tuesday and was granted a hearing for Monday, November 28.

The mismanagement of the Election Day voting has even prompted an investigation by the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, and the Arizona State Senate.

“You are a pathetic loser” tweeted Hernandez, who is famous for demanding others treat her properly, while dishing out personal attacks like this one.

The Attorney General’s race between Republican Hamadeh and Democrat Kris Mayes is subject to a recount, with Mayes only leading by 510.

As noted in his lawsuit, “The election was, however, afflicted with certain errors and inaccuracies in the management of some polling place operations, and in the processing and tabulation of some ballots. The cumulative effect of these mistakes is material to the race for Arizona Attorney General, where the candidates are separated by just 510 votes out of more than 2.5 million ballots cast-a margin of two one-hundredths of one percent (0.02%),” argued Hamadeh’s attorneys.

Hernandez recently demanded an apology from her colleague Rep. Brian Fernandez after she accused him of insulting her behind her back, and she went so far as to file an Ethics Complaint and attack him during his re-election campaign. She also took shots at anyone in the Democratic caucus who did not rally to her immediate defense.

Hernandez accused Fernandez of calling her “a ‘fat f***’ and saying “that he ‘hates me’” on multiple occasions while with lobbyists and elected officials. For his part, Fernandez denied using that phrase but admitted saying unkind things, however, he insists that he said them in private, as opposed to Hernandez’ public style. Reaction to her very public and hypocritical tweet was swift and brutal:

@johninphx tweeted in response referring to Hernandez’ brother Daniel Hernandez, known for his extremely wide girth, who failed to make it out of a Democratic Party primary this year:

@almaforarizona and @AbrahamHamadeh
Now do your brother that couldn’t even make it through the primary. 😂😂😂

@cannonballmike replied to @johninphx:

@almaforarizona and @AbrahamHamadeh He can definitely make it through a buffet.

@TheYellowKazoo called Hernandez out for her “unnecessarily insufferable and nasty response.”

@AZNewEnglander responded:

Super strong ethics Alma. Wow!

@RooneRowan asked, “What if it was the other way around? And YOU are the one treated with injustice?”

@VoteRIGHTinAZ tweeted:

Imagine if it was Trump that tweeted this.

Hamadeh followed up with a gracious tweet, wishing her a “Happy Thanksgiving.”
