Detectives Seek Information in Shooting Death Of Camelback High School Teacher

Phoenix Police detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying the person responsible for the death of 30-year-old David Denogean.

David Denogean was a long-term substitute and track and field coach at Camelback High School.

According to Phoenix Police, in the evening of November 25, 2022, at about 6:00 p.m. officers were called to a shooting that happened in a local business parking lot. Once at the call, officers and Phoenix firefighters provided the victim medical aid and rushed him to a local hospital. Mr. Denogean was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The The Phoenix Union School District released the following statement:

“The Phoenix Union and Camelback communities send our sincere condolences to the family of guest teacher and coach David Denogean. We will provide the support our staff and students need during this time of loss.”
