Man Indicted In Fatal Shooting Of Girl In Phoenix Road Rage

A Maricopa County grand jury has indicted Sidney Garfield Garrand with seven felony counts in connection with the fatal shooting a young girl during in a road rage incident in north Phoenix last month.

Garrand is facing one count of second-degree murder, a class one felony, one count of attempt to commit second-degree murder, a class two felony, three counts of endangerment, class six felonies, one count of discharge of a firearm at a structure, a class three felony, and one count of unlawful discharge of a firearm within city limits, a class six felony.

In late October of this year, an 8-year-old passenger died from a gunshot wound after Garrand and another driver engaged in an argument. Garrand was arrested by Phoenix Police and is currently being held in a Maricopa County Jail with a $500,000 cash only bond.
