Phoenix Police Department detectives have made an arrest in connection with a shooting that resulted in the death of 27-year-old David Navidad-Parra during a private vehicle sale. Detectives were able to identify and locate the suspect, Abel Uribe, who has been booked on one count of First-Degree Murder and Kidnapping.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were dispatched to an injured person call in the area of 4500 West Coronado Road just before 9:15 p.m. When officers arrived, they found Mr. Navidad-Parra, on the ground with a gunshot wound. The fire department responded and pronounced Mr. Navidad-Parra deceased.
Officers learned there was another call for service received in the area of a man missing while providing a test drive of a private vehicle to Uribe. Officers confirmed the reported missing person was Mr. Navidad-Parra.
Detectives responded to investigate what lead up to the shooting and process the crime scene. Detectives learned that the Glendale Police Department responded to a vehicle fire near 91st Avenue and Rose Lane early Saturday morning. Preliminary information suggests the found vehicle was involved in the homicide investigation.
