Two Tucson Men Killed In Wrong-Way Collision In Oro Valley

On Friday, December 16th, a deadly traffic collision occurred on Oracle Rd in Oro Valley. Two vehicles were involved in the collision, and both drivers were killed.

Prior to the collision, Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) received 911 calls about an erratically driven dark colored pickup truck. The truck was reported at excessive speeds and changing lanes. OVPD officers were attempting to locate the vehicle when the collision occurred. OVPD was not in pursuit of the vehicle.

The dark colored pickup truck driven by Maximilano Flores, of Tucson, crossed into the northbound lanes while travelling southbound. While travelling the wrong direction in the northbound lanes, the dark pickup collided head-on with a red pickup driven by Raymond Evano, of Tucson.

A third vehicle was struck with debris from the collision, but there were no injuries in that vehicle.
