UPDATED: Missing Pinal County 12-Year-Old Found After Sighting In Queen Creek, Parents Arrested

UPDATE: KJ Conklin was located and is safe, according to Samuel Salzwedel of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office.

Pinal County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking the public to help locate missing 12-year-old KJ Conklin, after he was recently seen at the Walmart in Queen Creek on December 20, around 8 p.m.

While investigating the disappearance of KJ, detectives interviewed his parents and other children in the home. Kelly Conklin, age 46, and Melissa Conklin, age 39 were taken into custody on other child abuse charges.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the charges are not directly related to the disappearance of the 12-year-old.

There were a total of 8 children in the house, from ages 1 to 17. There were 5 adopted children – including KJ, 2 foster children and 1 biological child. The Department of Child Safety has taken custody of the children.
