A collision involving a motorized scooter has left one man dead.
according to the Phoenix Police Department, just before midnight on December 24, 2022, officers responded to a call of a vehicle collision near 2nd Street and Glendale Avenue. Officers found 55-year-old Thomas Michael Lee, suffering critical injuries. He was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Detectives believe Mr. Lee was driving west on Glendale Avenue and crossed into the eastbound lanes. Lee struck a vehicle head on that was traveling east on Glendale Avenue. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.
Impairment is not believed to be a factor with the second vehicle.
