Phoenix Police detectives arrested 37-year-old Bobby Montano for the murder and kidnapping of his girlfriend.
Phoenix Officers responded to a stabbing call at about 10:06 p.m. on December 30, 2022. Montano was detained after officers found the victim who suffered from an apparent stab wound. Officers provided lifesaving measures until Phoenix Fire Department arrived to take over. The victim did not survive her injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Montano was booked into Maricopa County Jail on first-degree murder and kidnapping charges.
Detectives continue to investigate what led up to a Friday night argument that resulted in the victim’s death.
