Phoenix Police Detectives Investigating Shooting That Left 9 Victims Injured

Phoenix police detectives are investigating what led up to an early Saturday morning shooting that left nine victims injured. One victim has been identified as an adult female who is pregnant. Her injuries have not affected the pregnancy and are non-life threatening.

Officers responded to several 911 calls of a shooting just after 4:00 a.m. on December 31, 2022. When officer arrived at a local business in the area of 4200 North 19th Avenue, they encountered several victims who suffered from gunshot wounds. Phoenix Fire Department responded and took a number of victims to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Several other victims were taken to nearby hospitals prior to police arrival and have since been contacted by Police. A total of nine victims in the shooting have been identified at this time, but detectives believe there may be other outstanding victims.
