Phoenix police detectives are investigating a shooting that left a mad dead that Friday in the area of 36th Avenue and Missouri Avenue.
On January 27, 2023, just after 2:15 p.m. Phoenix police officers responded to a shooting near 3600 West Missouri Avenue. When officers arrived the located a man, identified as 33-year-old Alexis Villegas, with multiple gunshot wounds. The Alexis was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
Homicide detectives responded to investigate the shooting. Preliminary information indicates that the Alexis was involved in a fight with multiple adult males, during which he was shot multiple times. Information about what led up to the shooting is still under investigation.
