Shooting At Phoenix Park Leaves One Man Dead

Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a shooting at a park that left one man dead and a teenager injured.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were dispatched to an emergency call of a shooting at a park near 51st and Campbell Avenues. When they arrived, they found a man, later identified as 28-year-old Gilberto Perez Rodriguez, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Perez Rodriguez was rushed to the hospital where he died from his injuries. Sometime after the shooting, a second teenaged victim arrived at a nearby hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The Phoenix Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call Phoenix Police or Silent Witness if they wish to remain anonymous.
