House Judiciary Committee held a field hearing in Yuma.

On Thursday, the House Judiciary Committee held a field hearing at the Yuma City Hall, focusing on border issues, calling it “The Biden Border Crisis: Part II.”

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan invited all committee members to participate in the hearing, however every Democrat declined.

During the two-day CODEL, members met with border patrol agents, toured the Yuma Regional Medical Center, and visited the Yuma Community Food Bank to discuss the impact of illegal immigration on community resources.

Before the hearing, committee members toured the border wall, including the sections open at Morelos Dam, where a great deal of illegal aliens enter the country.

The committee heard testimony from Jonathan Lines, Yuma County Supervisor District 2, Leon Wilmot, Yuma County Sheriff, and Robert Trenschel, President and CEO of the Yuma Regional Medical Center.

Perhaps the most stunning testimony came from Lines when he was asked by Rep. Matt Gaetz if Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas, who brags about his relationship with local leaders had ever lied to him. Lines responded, “Yes.”

Other members of the committee, shared their experience on Twitter:
