Harris Does Not Endorse Cartel Bribery Testimony From Attorney And Partner

Joint meeting of the Arizona Senate Elections and House Municipal Oversight & Elections

Since the 2020 elections, State Representative Liz Harris has worked hard to build a reputation as a crusader for election integrity. She even reportedly traded her vote on Arizona’s state budget in exchange for a leadership role in last Friday’s joint meeting of the Arizona Senate Elections and House Municipal Oversight & Elections committees.

Chaired by State Senator Wendy Rogers, the meeting quickly dissolved into a political circus, particularly thanks to a specific presentation that sparked controversy and ignited the flames of a social media witch hunt, thanks to claims that Arizona politicians and other prominent people had accepted bribes from the Sinaloa cartel.

By Sunday night, Wendy Rogers was attempting to distance herself from the meeting she ran, and her comments were largely viewed as placing the blame squarely on Harris. Today, Harris issued a statement essentially denying that she supports the claims made Jacqueline Fine-Breger, on behalf of disgraced attorney John Harris Thaler.

“What was presented at Thursday’s hearing was not sufficient to substantiate these extraordinary claims. Our committee’s job is to listen to a number of experts and members of the public and the mere fact that we listen to a presentation does not mean that we endorse or agree with it,” said Harris in her statement.

Those claims, presented with no actual evidence, connected various politicians and others to everything from bribery to election fraud.

Harris is building a nationwide following and has already launched a campaign for the U.S. Senate in 2024, but much of that following are conspiracy theorists and social media personalities focused on some of the more incredible various conspiracy theories, like claims that the ballots in the 2020 General Election came from China and therefore likely contained bamboo. No bamboo was ever discovered in any ballots processed in 2020 in Arizona.

Those personalities quickly pounced on Fine-Breger’s allegations, loudly proclaimed the guilt of the parties mentioned, and began targeting anyone who pointed out obvious errors in her presentation. The mob’s position was that if you disagreed with the claims made, then you must be part of the cartel’s conspiracy.

A number of the individuals named are now considering legal action against Fine-Breger and Thayler.

According to sources, Harris refused to share information about her witness with staff or fellow members of the committee prior to the testimony. She has also not offered an apology to her colleagues or the taxpaying public that funded the defamatory charade.

“The fact is that Harris already had a pretty good idea of the material that was going to be presented. That’s why she wanted the presentation to occur.” said one legislative source. “She believed all of that garbage and didn’t do any her homework before allowing all of it to be spread publicly, thanks to the legitimacy that a legislative hearing gives things. Every Republican is paying a price for Liz Harris getting it wrong again.”
